About Kinderling

Hello! I'm Amanda and Kinderling is my way of bringing beautiful graphic art into the homes of families who want to add a uniquely personal touch to their living space.

Although I don't have children of my own yet, my husband and I do have a house full of pets and they are our kids. I am proud of my family and wanted a unique way to display them without sacrificing my aesthetic sensibilities. Having looked elsewhere without much luck, I decided I'd just have to do it myself. And Kinderling was born.

I've been working professionally as a graphic artist for the last 10 years, both in Minneapolis and New York City. My design work is on the shelves of bookstores, in magazines and on websites all over the internet. My art has been in shows both in Minneapolis and New York and hangs on walls across the country.

I have always used patterns and textures in my work whenever possible. They add a richness and depth to pieces that may otherwise seem bland. Kinderling is no different. These portraits are stylish and textural and unlike anything you'll find elsewhere.

While I draw on the tradition of paper cut silhouettes, my portraits are anything but traditional. I use today's most advanced graphic software to draw each portrait. This means I can print multiple copies of the same portrait for every family member if desired. And the design possibilities are endless.

All my portraits are printed with archival quality ink on archival quality paper; sure to become a lasting keepsake for years to come.
